St. Peter's Church serves Greenhill, Lowedges and Lower Bradway in the Diocese of Sheffield, South Yorkshire. It is a modern Anglo-Catholic Church situated south of Sheffield just off the A61.

Built in the 1960's, St. Peter's is a Grade II listed building and an architectural landmark of South Sheffield. It is in the centre of the local community. The framework of the building is supported by four legs, rising to the top of the slate green spire which can be seen from far and wide. Each leg measures 86ft long and weighs 3.5 tons.

A Cromford Quarry Derbyshire marble altar is in the centre of the Church, where the arranged seating allows the congregation to encircle it.

Behind the marble font, situated to the side of the altar, is the Jerusalem Stone sent to St. Peter's by the Archbishop of Jerusalem who visited during the building of the Church. Around the interior brindle brick walls are 14 contemporary banners of the Stations of the Cross depicting the story of Jesus' last journey.

To the left of the Church as you enter is the Chapel of Reconciliation, which is used for weekday services and also for private prayer. One complete wall in the Chapel offers an amazing stained glass window which streams with a rainbow of colour.

It's magnificent design tells the story of St. Peter and features a cockerel, the crossed keys of the Kingdom of Heaven and the Cross of Christ. Behind the cross, the Light of Christ is rising to dispel the darkness of the world.

We thank God for this building.
It is a beautiful place.
