St Peter's Church - Life Begins At 40

Life begins...

"Life begins at 40", so they say and let's hope it's true! Yet there is a gospel sense in which life can and should begin at any age. When we live the word Jesus gives us and try to love one another to the point of giving up our own ways for others, then we make a real new beginning and start a new life. That new life has the quality of being a little bit more like Jesus.

2005 marks a special celebration at St Peter's. In May we celebrate the 40th anniversary of the consecration of St Peter's Church as a place dedicated to the glory of God. So the whole of this year will be for us a celebration - a year when we shall rejoice in the real presence of Jesus among us when we gather in his name.

We are calling this year:

TOGETHER FOR JOY!
