Some much needed improvements were made in January 2009 to people
with disabilities’ access to St Peter’s Church, Greenhill.
Until then such people trying to leave the building in an emergency
would have had to negotiate three steps-outside the vestry door and
at both ends of the path leading to the nearest road. Therefore the
solution was more complicated, and more expensive, than the usual
one of installing a simple ramp outside the relevant door. The Church
Burgesses and The Veolia Environmental Trust provided grants towards
the cost of the project.
